Meet the all-new, fully-redesigned 2018 Ford Expedition. It's the first fully redesigned Expedition in 15 years, and we think that Ford's design and engineering teams really hit a home run.  The redesigned Expedition is lighter, more spacious, more capable, and more stylish than the previous generation. Let's take a closer look at what this beautiful full-size SUV has to offer.

The 2019 Expedition Provides Plenty Of Room To Move

The 2019 Expedition has increased both its length and wheelbase giving it an incredibly spacious and comfortable interior. Whether you are driving your kids and their friends to practice or heading out on a longer family excursion, the new all-new Expedition will get you their in both style and comfort.

Best In Class 2nd Row Leg Room

2nd Row Tilts & Slides Providing Easy 3rd Row Access
Taking a look at the numbers, the Expedition Max clocks in at 36.1 inches of leg room behind the 3rd row, 42.6 inches behind the second row providing more cargo room than both the Armada and Sequoia and Best In Class 2nd Row Leg Room. That is enough room to move to keep even John Mayall content.
In addition to the considerable leg room and ample cargo space, the seats are also incredibly comfortable and provide a seating position that is actually suitable for a full-sized adult passenger. Whether seated in the 2nd or 3rd row, passengers will be able to stretch out.

Unlike some of its competitors, the Ford Expedition comes with easy access third row seating. Passengers will find it incredibly easy to enter and exit the third row because the 2nd row both tilts and slides forward to provide access and legroom.

The space also provides impressive cargo room with electronic 3rd row seats and fold flat second row seats both controlled from the rear entry. This makes loading incredibly easy. Although it is not likely you will be moving that much plywood in your new full-size SUV, Ford makes it a point to note that with up to 121 cubic feet of cargo room, the cargo bay can hold a full 4X8 sheet of plywood. Pretty useful in certain circumstances.

Ford Upped Its Tech Game With The 2019 Expedition

The 2019 Expedition features all of the latest technology available on the market today. The full-size SUV has enough technology to keep even the most restless passengers entertained while on the road.

Technology features include the following:
  • Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
  • An available 12 Speaker Premium B&O Sound System that will provide suitable sound for even the most discerning audiophile.
  • WiFi HotSpot that can support up to 10 devices at up to 50 feet from the vehicle.
  • SYNC Connect which allows drivers to remotely start, locate, and view vehicle diagnostics from their mobile device.
  • Charging For Everyone. With 6 USB Ports (2 in front, 2 in second row, & 2 in third row) four 12 Volt chargers, one 110V charger, and a wireless charger, everyone in the new Expedition will be able to keep their devices charged up and ready to go.

A New WiFi Hotspot Allows Passengers To Stream Content

New Rear Headrest Screens Make Any Trip A Breeze

The Expedition also comes equipped with Dual-Headrest Rear Seat Entertainment which includes 2 high quality rear head rest mounted screens that can play DVD's, accept USB flash drives and can also stream content through the vehicle's own hotspot, allowing passengers to view their home cable programming on the road.

How Powerful Is The New 2019 Ford Expedition?

The new 2018 Ford Expedition is powered by a brand new 3.5L V6 Ecoboost Engine that is paired with a 10 speed automatic transmission. The new powerplant churns out 375HP/470lb-ft in the XLT & Limited trim levels and 400HP/480lb-ft in the Platinum trim level. This new powertrain is the most capable and most responsive that has ever been featured in the Expedition.

The new Expedition has both the power and technology to make light work of almost all trailering. The 2018 Ford Expedition can tow between 5,000lbs and 9,300lbs depending on whether it is equipped with the Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package. That is more than enough capability to tow anything you need for your summer or winter recreation needs and enough to earn the Ford Expedition Best In Class Towing Capability.

Ford knows that Expedition owners love to tow, reporting that 15% of Expedition owners tow at least once a month. To improve towing capability Ford has integrated Pro Trailer Backup Assist, originally rolled out in the new Ford F-150. With Pro Trailer Assist, Ford has made backing up a boat or trailer much easier. With a video monitoring system in place, drivers only have to shift a knob, to position the trailer, while the vehicle steers itself into perfect position.

The Latest Safety Features Keep You In Control & Your Precious Cargo Safe
