New 2020 Ford Escape Titanium: Everything You Need to Know

2020 Ford Escape Titanium Near Boston, MA

The 2020 Ford Escape Titanium has arrived here at Muzi Ford in Needham, Ma. We are very excited for this SUV, and once the public gets to see one up close, we know they will be too! The newly redesigned Escape Titanium brings together style, technology, and several impressive engine options.

As Ford starts the process of shedding its car lineup, the engineers designed the 2020 Ford Escape Titanium to have a more car-like appearance than previous Escape models. The new version of the Escape is great for drivers looking for a compact crossover SUV to make the transition from their old sedan to a new SUV.

Let’s take a closer look at what makes the Escape Titanium trim so exciting.

2020 Ford Escape Titanium Exterior Design & Styling

The 2020 Ford Escape Titanium trim sits at the top of the Escape lineup, and brings a stylish look worthy of the top-level trim crown. Starting with the tires, the Titanium gets 19-inch Machined face aluminum wheels that come standard. Also standard on this trim are heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals. These are perfect for those frigid New England Winter mornings.

The front-end of the 2020 Escape Titanium does not resemble the 2019 model at all. A new black mesh style grille sits right below a new larger blue Ford oval logo. LED headlamps and foglamps come standard. The 4-point LEDs found on the Escape are very similar to a Porsche Macan.

Moving to the back of the new Escape Titanium. The rear features LED tail lamps, dual-exhaust tips, and new “ESCAPE” lettering. The new exterior design and styling will allow the 2020 Escape to fit in more seamlessly with the other vehicles in the crossover SUV segment.

2020 Ford Escape Titanium Interior Features

When you climb into the cabin of the 2020 Ford Escape Titanium, you’ll notice that it doesn’t resemble the interior of the 2019 model at all. The Escape Titanium features heated leather-trimmed front seats along with a premium 10-speaker B&O audio system. A 12-inch digital information display first seen in the new Ford Explorer, replaces the analog gauges found in last year’s Escape.

Keep your hands warm on cold drives with the heated leather wrapped steering wheel found on the Escape Titanium. A new feature that is included in the Titanium Premium Package is a Head-up display to help drivers keep their eyes where they should be.

A new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with improved resolution sits at the center of the Titanium’s dash. The 2020 Escape Titanium features a rear backup camera with trajectory, along with front and rear parking sensors. Dual-zone climate control will help you and your passengers stay at a comfortable temperature. New for the 2020 Escape is a rotary gear shift like the one found in the Fusion and Explorer that allows more room up front.

The rear seats of the 2020 Escape Titanium are adjustable and can slide forward and back to give your backseat passengers enough space to be comfortable. This also allows for more cargo room in the back when the seats are slid forward, without having to take the time to fold the seats. The Escape Titanium also features a panoramic vista-roof that is perfect for those warm summer drives.

2020 Ford Escape Titanium Engine Options

Let’s take a look under the hood of the 2020 Ford Escape Titanium to see what makes this dynamic SUV tick. The Escape Titanium gives drivers two engine options. One is a gasoline engine and the other is a hybrid option new on the 2020 Escape lineup.

2.0L EcoBoost (Gasoline)

The standard engine on the 2020 Ford Escape Titanium is a 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder Engine. This engine gives owners 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. This 2.0L engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission but is only available with all-wheel drive. You can expect to get 20 MPG city and 31 MPG highway. This impressive engine gives the Escape five more horses than the previous model and can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

2.5L FHEV (Hybrid)

The next engine available on the 2020 Escape Titanium is the 2.5L FHEV Atkinson-cylce I-4 model Engine. This engine gives owners 198 horsepower and 153 lb-ft of torque. This 2.5L engine is mated to a PowerSplit Electronic continuously variable transmission. This impressive engine gives the Escape Hybrid an expected total range of 550 miles.
